RYA HOOKS

I am Rya Hooks, a High Point University student originally from Atlanta, Georgia majoring in Psychology with a minor in Spanish and Sociology. My passion for the youth sparked while working with special needs students in and out of the classroom. I often enjoy spending free time mentoring and connecting with young students. Those priceless interactions have encouraged me to pursue a career working with children everyday as a Clinical Psychologist. Being able to reach at least one child during the course of my future career would mean that pursuing clinical psychology was worth every year of schooling. The goal is for me to be the first doctor in my family.
